Recently ground-penetrating radar was used to locate the remains of 215 children, some as young as three, buried at the site of the intimidating Kamloops (Tk'emlups te Secwepemc) Residential School in BC's dry interior. Many Canadians know that many Indigenous children died while attending residential schools: estimates range from 4000 to 6,000. But many Native leaders query this number. It is simply too low.
